ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS

The Trojan Foundation's Ben Price Memorial Athletic Scholarship is annually awarded to one senior student that is actively involved in at least one athletic program at Tuscarawas Valley High School.

 

The Ben Price scholarship was the very first awarded by the Trojan Foundation. The foundation was formed by Ronda Price in 1998, the same year her father passed away. Ben was a four year letterman in basketball, baseball, and track, and was Valedictorian in 1959. He clearly loved sports, and still holds Tusky Valley basketball records to this day.

The Nick Winters Memorial Golf Scholarship is annually awarded to one student that was an active member of the Boys or Girls Golf Team during their senior year, who intends to play golf at the collegiate level.

 

Nick was a 1998 graduate of Tusky Valley High School.  A passionate golfer, Nick used any opportunity he could to be on the golf course. He often aspired and talked about the possibility of going pro, and won an amateur tournament at Zoar.
